Now that she's conquered the genre of cozy mysteries, Ms. Jacobson has turned her attention and talents to romantic comedy, and I, for one, am glad she did. Her writing style, characters, and sense of humor are particularly well-suited to this genre.

I'm an old fuddy-duddy who believes finding oneself in a deep hole means it's time to put the darned shovel down and stop digging, so it was a bit perplexing that our heroine didn't know when to stop telling her increasingly outrageous lies... and i

This is such a cute read!

I've enjoyed this authors cozy mysteries...she's actually the one who has now sparked my interest in that genre...so, when she came out with this sweet romance series, I was excited and curious. This new direction she's headed in did not disappoint.

The main character is a young woman with a little spunk, tons of heart and mounds of odd quirks. Mix this with the very light-hearted and energetic writing style, and it makes for a fun, easy read, which guarantees more than a

Such a fun book!

I read Jacobson’s entertaining cozy mysteries, so I figured I’d give her first romantic comedy, Smitten with Ravioli, a try as well. What a blast it was! This easy read had me smile from the beginning of the story until the last page. The author did a good job developing the characters and crating an engaging flow, while also providing tidbits about Italian culture and food. All of this is interspersed with a satisfying dose of humor and sarcasm.

Smitten with Ravioli is a feel-g

This was fun.

I've come to expect good things from this author when it comes to cozy mysteries and now I can see that she's got a fan in the rom-com department now. This book was funny from start to finish and the romance didn't annoy me (not sure if that came off right, I sometimes struggle with reading romance).

Oddly enough, I felt there was one thing missing that this story could have used a little bit more of, though it in no way took away from the overall story, and that's cooking. I thoug

I've read all of Ellen Jacobson's Mollie McGhie cozy mystery books, so I was eagerly awaiting the release of her romantic comedy. Smitten With Ravioli is as funny as I expected and more so. Ginny hasn't been dumped by a former boyfriend. Worse. The jerk copied her thesis paper and turned it in as his own. Consequently, she's accused of plagiarizing him. After that, she has to get away. How about Italy? Why not. She enrolls in a culinary school.

The laughs start when she discovers she enrolled in

I have enjoyed reading Ms. Jacobson's Molly McGhee mystery series with all of the quirky characters and crazy situations. Tipping her toes into writing rom-com delivers the same humor and entertaining read as in her cozy mystery series. Even the title, Smitten with Ravioli, made me laugh! I loved the Italian setting, the reason that made her dump her graduate studies, her cooking class and fellow students, and of course, the guy she fell in love with but didn't want to fall in love with him, of ...more

So Much Fun!!!
Ginny is a delightfully quirky main character! Love her panic-induced fibbing and her phobias. And Preston is an excellent foil for her quirkiness - his steady demeanor, love of history, and his bow ties make him a fun read.
An excellent read full of fun and romance and ravioli!
Looking forward to being Smitten with the next book in the series!
