Patricia Lynne/Josephine's new book is a delightful collection of very short tales of mythical creatures. I had no idea what to expect from this going in, I picked it up simply on the author's name alone as I am a big fan.
(side note: I am amused to no end that Patricia Lynne and Patricia Josephine's author photos appear to be the same photo just from different angles.)

This is one of the most interesting paranormal/dark fantasy books I've read in a while. This is a collection of short stories, and I mean short as in 200 words, that packs a lot of punch.
This collection takes the central creature theme, focusing on Vampires, Werewolves, and Zombies and blends it with elements of mystery, romance, humor, and more. A collections of delightful vignettes to tantalize. There’s a section for each creature type: vampires (my favorites), werewolves, and zombies. They are full of the unexpected. I loved the surprises and the humor. Some made me laugh with delight and some had chilling endings. I loved the variety of characters and scenes. While they were all brief, they were all wonderfully immersive.
If you enjoy dipping your fangs in captivating snippets, then I highly recommend this read.

This book completely pulled me in! I really enjoyed the format of 200 word stories. These are fascinating snippets from a variety of viewpoints.
From spooky to serious to silly to thought-provoking to heart-felt, you'll find it all in these snippets.
I'm a reader who reads because of the emotions in the words and A Quick Bite is full of emotion and a fun read! ...more
