TBH It was a bit rough getting into this book. Once I was in though it wasn't bad. Not amazing but good enough that it piqued my interest.

Zoey is an ordinary girl. Or she was before she was marked! Now all of a sudden she's this fledgling and has to give up her entire life to go the the House of Night! The main character has some potential but mostly it's the overall plot and world building that make this series anything worth reading. Unfortunately, these books also integrate some seriously problematic behaviors and attitudes. Between that and the deliberately immature narrative voice, I don't recommend it. ...more
