My Take:
This was an ok read. It showed me a side of fairies i have never read before. I like the "science" behind it all! It was unique in some ways, but cringe worthy in others.
Don't ask me why, but it reminded me of Artemis Fowl. Not a bad thing, I just keep on seeing cartoony characters, which kind of put me off.
The plot was also a bit meh....
But other than that, the story really flowed well, and it kept me busy :P

But having said that I realy did find it to be an easy enjoyable read. The dialog was not exactly challanging but what made the book interesting for me was the new twist on "fairy" lore, and the way the author actually atemts to explain the science behind it. So often you read a book about a mythical creature and you are

I really liked this book, which was surprising because I have not got on the faerie themed train as yet. It was very sweet and the characters are easily likable. I'm anticipating I'm not going to like the outcome of the Laurel / Tamani relationship ultimately, but we'll see. I thought it was a delightful first book for this author and I will definitely continue to read her work.
