Monsters come in all forms, and those that where a "non-monster" form are often the worst.
Kitty somewhat reluctantly agrees to do a reality show that reunites her (and us) with some of the interesting characters from previous installments of her tale. Vaughn provides foreshadowing of the battle to come, and keeps the pace flowing and tension building until the finale. That finale will also make you eager to grab the next story in the series.

That was a heck of a lot of WTF. I'm still in shock. (view spoiler)
I'm so glad the epilogue ended on an up note because man, this book really took the punch out of me. It was at the same time so compelling. I often found myself listening to it outside of my normal "listening time". Carrie Vaughn is killing me, in the best possible way. ...more

I was starting to get tired of this series but this book renewed my interest. Maybe because Ben wasn't a major part of it.
Kitty agrees to take part in a realty show that features a bunch of Supernatural people and a surprise skeptic. That lets Vaughn revisit many of her characters from previous books in the series. Grant, Tina and Jeffrey are back.
Naturally, since they're in a house in the middle of nowhere people start dying and they have to catch the killer.
Oh and Cormac is up for parole.

The typical 'stuck in remote cabin' horror pretence, with the monsters being the victims. Another good easy read in the series and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
