A nice follow up to the Desperate Times: A Permadeath LitRPG LitFPS Novel. The world continues to be built and we're told a bit of more details of how this world war works.
I really enjoyed the two primary characters in the first book, but they don't show up until we're halfway through the book. That was a bit of a disappointment, but we are introduced to the mechs which are hugely entertainment.
