Really good story. I was a bit worried early on about where this story was going, but I like how it unfolded.
Kevin/Kelath is a likeable MC who has had a bad life experience, but he doesn't let it destroy his outlook on life.

A good story though the plot isn't any grand tale, so seemed a bit weak when I kept expecting a twist to the story while reading. That said, it was still a good story and I liked it enough I'll read the next one as well. :)
