I don't know that I've ever read a romantic comedy before.

Yet, that's what this is.

If someone had told me that I might one day like such a thing, I'd have said that it was possible but doubtful. I don't read romance. I don't much care for romcoms on film. I'm pretty picky about comedies, especially on the printed page.

So, why did I read this?

Because I saw that Jeff Strand was giving away ARCs on his website for a forthcoming book, and I've liked what I've read by him so far.

I was fortunate enough to receive a free copy of Jeff Strand's new book in exchange for an honest review.
Extremely fortunate.
I discovered Mr. Strand's books about a year ago, thanks to my friends on Goodreads and their wonderful suggestions. I've read several now, and have yet to be disappointed. His books are always fast paced, easy to read and quite hilarious. So when I saw that he was offering copies for reviews on Goodreads I had to jump at the opportunity. I absolutely loved this one, and ended up putting several more of his books on my to-read list. the storyline flowed so well, and it was so easy to read. I really hated having to put it down for life during the read, then having it end - I wanted to continue with these characters. I would definitely recommend this one!

3.5, actually. Not sure how to even have any idea about how to rate this book. This is so different from anything I have ever read. Sassy conversation and bizarre renditions about their long weekend with lots of lovely dopey cuddles and one long sex scene. I have to admit, though, I had a few giggles. I read this because it was recommended to me by a friend, and I say thanks for the rolic, Steve.

This was a terrific book!! It had such a great pace, the main characters were so much fun, and their conversations were absolutely entertaining. This is a title I would love to revisit and hope gets adapted to film at some point.

Totally loved this book. I fell in love with the characters and their wonderful chemistry. Had me from the first page and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Not a book I would have picked for myself, but so happy that my husband said it was a "must read". Great story line and wonderful adventure. ...more
