This is a very good book, and as usual, i find it difficult to write about very good books (and very bad ones too!)
I had read this novel previously in two different Arabic translations, this time I was lucky to find the original in a second-hand book stall in Alexandria, and reading it was a very enjoyable experience.

I should have read this book a long time ago. I don't know how I missed it in school. I found it to be brilliant but so depressing I just wanted to throw it across the room after I finished it. I'm glad that Orwell's vision didn't come true in 1984. And I hope to God it never does.

I should probably read it again, because it's been a long time. But I really didn't like it the first time, so it's hard to work up any enthusiasm to read it again.

Impressive. I honestly expected a cheesy story, but now I see why Orwell is so noted. I love this book. I can see this theme and the way it's presented to be timeless.
