I read this book when Oprah selected it a number of years ago. It's well-written but the subject matter is a downer. A quick read; I would recommend it, but not go out of my way to read it. ...more

This book is most intriguing. Its material is slightly disturbing but meaningful. It was a very sad story, but well written and powerful.
