A Ruth Galloway Mystery~

The Crossing Places is set on the Norfolk Coast in England, near a salt marsh - a marshy area between solid land and the ocean. This particular salt marsh has many secrets.

Forensic Archaeology Professor Ruth Galloway loves the marsh and it's isolation. She participated in a dig on the marsh ten years ago that uncovered an ancient henge. She has chosen to make her home on the lonesome wetland.

I found the 8th book in the Ruth Galloway series first, and decided to read the entire series in reverse order because the synopses of earlier titles didn't appeal to me as much. Well, by the time I got to The Crossing Places, first in the series, I had fallen in love with Ruth, Nelson, Cathbad, et al. The third person present tense writing irritates me a bit, but ultimately did not prevent me from enjoying the series.
