Another serviceable, if not good, international conflict/military/political thriller...Not Clancy, but still a decent story of the Chinese attacking out GPS array to open Vietnam to their aggression and the American response to those attacks...a pretty good summary of the inter-service jealousies and the bureaucratic issues involved of a needed emergency response...decent plot and characters that make this a 3-1/2 star thriller...a decent book to while a 4th of July away when the golf courses ar ...more

Not the best Larry Bond's book but it'll do. I felt like the author spent too much time building up the preparation of the space ship rather than the combat. Like really? You would spend 350 pages on the logistics and problems and roughly 20 pages on combat. Also should have delved into the enemy a lot more. I felt that the reader barely got a glimpse of the antagonist's motivation. ...more

Well researched and thought it. My only issue is with all the acronyms. I kept having to refer to the glossary to remember what they were.
