 Danielle The Book Huntress
Runner was raved about by one of my Goodreads friends, so I picked it up from the library. This story is about a man who happens to be in the best place at the right time, and makes the decision to help a girl that changes his whole life.

Sam Dryden has this irresistible compulsion to go running at night, in a certain area. He's been drifting after his personal loss, and believes this is due to his restlessness, and perhaps an existential crisis. He meets a girl who begs him to save her life fro

I read Mr. Lee's Breach Trilogy and liked it a great deal. So i went out (well actually I didn't go out. That's what we used to do, I actually sent to the library without leaving the house) and snapped this book up. Runner is the first in a new series of books about Mr. Lee's new protagonist Sam Dryden. The Runner is much like Enemy of the State, but much creepier. Hopefully, there is no truth to the genetic engineering and technology in the novel. I would always read a new Patrick Lee book including his new Sam Dryden series.

Another retired "Spec-Ops" super soldier "to-the-rescue" saving innocents from some "sub-rosa" government program...in this one, the protagonist saves a young girl with remarkable mental capabilities...kind of "Taken" meets "Firestarter"...just OK...may or may not continue reading the series!,, ...more

Great book - fast read and lots of action. Patrick Lee knows how to write an action story that grabs you from the beginning paragraph. Sam Dryden is a good hero, similar to Mitch Rapp and others. The book reminds me most of Matthew Reilly books with the speed of the action. The characters are moving while they are thinking and giving you more story. Found a new favorite author!!
