What Members Thought

After several false starts, I got into this book. I read most of it on the way to Illinois for Thanksgiving. This is one of those books that takes a while to get started, but once you're in, you're in. The concept is so crazy, it takes a while to figure out what's going on. I think the closest comparison I could make is the TV show "Fringe". It's that kind of crazy. Also it's the kind of thing that people who have tons of conspiracy theories and deep distrust for the establishment, corporations

You know...I like this book more than I expected to. I'm hoping that this leads into a good series that holds up. Our protagonist here is one who's got a past or maybe I should say a Past that's with a capital P. He was a dirty cop and we learn real quick (so it's not a spoiler) that something he did cost the life of the woman he loved.
He's spent the last years in prison and is looking at re-starting his life at 40.

A book worth reading. Every once in a while you find a nice surprise, a novel that is unique and intriguing. A science experiment goes wrong, but something interesting comes out of it. Something no one is prepared for. Something dangerous, but alluring at the same time. Travis Chase, recently out of prison is trying to find himself in remote Alaska and make some decisions about his future. While hiking he stumbles across something extraordinary, which pulls him into a world that changes the cour

This book was recommended to me by a bookseller at Schuler's Eastwood last week. He was really excited for me to read it. He said I really think you will like it. I was in the middle of another book and went to study in the bookstore and Jim said did you start it. I had not and felt awful because I have bought so many he has recommended but they are in my library still. I began the book when I got home Friday and by the time I went to the bookstore on Saturday to work on my dissertation and atte

Not sure what I think about the book, but l didn't predict the ending. Many strange turns in the storyline. Just now realized there are two more novels in the series. I have added the two to my want to read list, but will not be in a rush to read the next in the series. Wish could have given the story four stars... It's an original plot. Just think, how can someone from the future come to the past and kill his grandfather before he meets his wife...

My feelings toward this story went up and down like a roller coaster...
Interested... Bored... Amazed... Bazaar. I have to give it more than three stars because I can't help but tell others about it. ...more

Entertaining read. Not sure I agree with the endorsement that it's "uncannily believable." But didn't have to think too much to enjoy the book.
