Once I got sucked in with the freebie (Deviant), I had to read more. So I thought, "Book #2, .99, that's not much". And then I found out I couldn't stop! These books are like potato chips, you simply can't stop at one! So now I see I have 4 more to read, at a cost of $2.99 each (very clever marketing ploy, every book ending on a cliffhanger)...I swear, if these books fall off in quality, I'm out of here. But somehow I don't think they will.

This story just got so much more in depth with this second installment. I'm officially impressed! The romance between these two is inevitable, but the way they are going about it is completely endearing. I love that Zeth is so obviously confused as to what is so different about the good doctor. Another fantastic addition to the Blood & Roses series written by Callie Hart! This installment was more powerful with intensity and suspense than the first one. Sloane is an awesome heroine that just keeps on positively surprising me, while Zeth is not afraid of anything and will protect what's his. While I really enjoyed catching up with Sloane and Zeth, this book didn’t have the same punch that the first did. I’m still enthralled by their story and can’t wait to see how the next installment plays out!
