I just finished reading this a few hours ago. What did I just read?? It was one big hurricane of emotions. One heartstopping lustful romance. And, twists and turns and tragedy that I never saw coming. This was my first J.A. Huss read, and if all her books are like this, then I’m a huge fan. After turning the last page, I just sat there – too overcome by the ending. The climax was riveting and painful. All that chaos between the truth and what was really going down. I just knew that Ark was hidin I just finished reading this a few hours ago. What did I just read?? It was one big hurricane of emotions. One heartstopping lustful romance. And, twists and turns and tragedy that I never saw coming. This was my first J.A. Huss read, and if all her books are like this, then I’m a huge fan. After turning the last page, I just sat there – too overcome by the ending. The climax was riveting and painful. All that chaos between the truth and what was really going down. I just knew that Ark was hiding something big. What it was, I had no idea. He was brooding and dark. Always in control. And, Blue? Wow, she was broken to the core as she tries to hide from pain of her abuse. Always reaching out just not to be alone. While the third member of this trio, JD, really was a mystery. He was your typical happy-go-lucky guy. Always smiling. Joking around. But, there was something deep below the surface that was just not right. He was drowning in guilt and loss. All this destruction and torment finally explodes in minutes as lives are lost, truths come out, and the pain of it all destroys their threesome.

I flew right through this novel. I only put it down to cook dinner, and even that was in a flurry. It kept my attention until the bitter end. Two best friends who encounter a damaged young woman on a rainy night. The three begin a relationship like none other. It’s passionate. It’s lustful. It’s erotic as well as tender. FIERY HOT, HOT HOT, AND THEN SOME!!! Nothing like any of them have ever experienced before. And, when lines get crossed a few months down the road, everything goes to shit. This was one hell of a ride! I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so I’m not going to say anymore about the story, but I will say that I was deeply moved by the connection that these three people had. It was written intricately with suspenseful fascination. Sure the language was graphic and the intimacy was dangerously erotic, but I thought it was perfectly portrayed with realism. It was written in dual POV’s by Ark and Blue. What I thought was interesting is that the author chose not to include JD’s POV. I wonder why??? Did I miss something??

No truer story could have been interpreted with more intensity and anguish as what this author brought to the table while writing such an emotional drama. So, don’t pass this one up! It’s intricately woven together with three soulmates that are bound by eternal desire.

JD and Ark are in the porn business. They're planning to take their public sexual escapades to the masses by branching off from their current business partner and going solo. All is going according to plan until the fateful morning where they happen upon a little wisp of a female, who is cold and huddled, trying to get out of the rain. While JD and Ark are supposed to be best friends, there is an underlying rivalry and tension that neither of them wants to touch. So once they lay eyes on Blue, s JD and Ark are in the porn business. They're planning to take their public sexual escapades to the masses by branching off from their current business partner and going solo. All is going according to plan until the fateful morning where they happen upon a little wisp of a female, who is cold and huddled, trying to get out of the rain. While JD and Ark are supposed to be best friends, there is an underlying rivalry and tension that neither of them wants to touch. So once they lay eyes on Blue, she not only distracts them, but she becomes the planet around which they orbit.

Blue is a girl with issues--big ones. It's clear that she's running from someone or something, but she doesn't want to go down that road with them. In the midst of all this emotional baggage and pretense that something really bad isn't waiting around the corner, they fall into a sexual black hole of sorts. Blue can get her masochistic fix. JD can let out his inner sadist. And Ark…well, he's just a mystery. What ensues is an unconventional relationship between three broken people, all of whom have hidden demons that once exercised will change their lives forever.

First off, there is A LOT of sex in this book. Now this would have been fine if it were a purely erotic novel. However, this book was billed as "a dark suspense" so I was expecting a lot more storyline and little less sex. When I started this book, I wasn't in love with it. I don't know, but there was something missing for me in the first half of this dark suspense. Maybe it was all the intense sex between virtual strangers whom we hadn't gotten to know yet. As a devotee of erotic fiction, I'm all about a well written sex scene, but give a girl a little storyline mixed in. So I put the book down and walked away. After reading another author's work, I came back to this and boy am I glad I did.

The storyline, which I felt was lacking in the first half of the book, came roaring to life in the second half. There were big reveals, lies, suspense and an ending that I never saw coming in a million years. And the bonus scene that Ms. Huss so graciously provided, which gave the reader that big "sigh" was killer!

I became a fan of JA Huss with her Social Media series. It opened me up to her own brand of storytelling, which flies in the face of what one usually expects. For this, I completely adore JA Huss. Now, was THREE, TWO, ONE my favorite? Not by a long shot. Will I continue to read her work? Absolutely! I think this author has something special, and I'm looking forward to reading more from her.

Good book and figured out twist but didn't like how it worked out for jd in the end. About half way in it was like he changed which I kind of understand but I wanted it to go a different way. I also felt like while I liked ark being the aloof one he didn't show enough for me to get him to how it ended. I felt there needed to be more between him and blue. ...more

Almost gripping and good ...

A very messed up story. I personally had no issues with the absolutely inappropriate or f***cked up relationships or the sexual violence; but the love wasn't completely believable and the ending was too neat. ...more
