In all honesty, I liked the book but I'm not loving these books. Something just seems like it is missing for me. I think part of it, is missing the male POV. I guess I've gotten so used to reading it, I feel like something isn't fully with the story.

I liked Valentina, though she wasn’t necessarily my favorite. Dante? Not so much. He’s described as a cold fish and it could t be more true. He’s about as interesting and lively as a cold, dead fish. He seems pretty well liked so I guess it’s just me. But I wouldn’t be upset if he died.

Initial thoughts:

Definitely liked Luca and Aria’s story better, but the last three chapters ticked up my rating by another half a star. It was what I waiting for with the honest and open conversation, emotional intimacy, tenderness, and affection for a majority of the book. Book 2 in the Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles

Wow, was this hero grumpy. I mean, he went BEYOND grumpy. He was stoic and aloof... I spent 7/8 of this book absolutely despising his guts. And then he decided to tick me off even further at the very end and not (view spoiler) Unbelievable. However, even though I couldn't stand Dante, I couldn't put this book down.
