Dominance Never Dies is the story of Case Taggert and Mia Danvers….two people who feel so deeply for each other that every misstep they take in their relationship feels like a knife wound to the heart of the other. Case and Mia’s story begins in From Sanctum With Love and while you can read this story without reading that one first, my suggestion is that you read From Sanctum With Love first so you can get more of a feel for what happened prior to this book. Dominance Never Dies continues the search for the presumed dead, but now confirmed alive Theo Taggert, Case’s brother. Case has been stone cold and lost since Theo’s “death” and proof that he is alive sends him reeling. Especially since the proof comes from Mia, the woman who lied to him and made him feel betrayed. She invoked feelings in him that he had never felt before in his life, and brought a little bit of sunshine and peace to his chaotic world. Her deception crushed him and when she comes to him begging for his help and understanding, he is cruel and unforgiving. Mia decides to take matters into her own hands and continue the search for Theo on her own but Case, smoking hot and full of bad-ass dominance, decides to join her in her search and help her. He also decides that temporarily, she will be his. Mia knows that Case is the only man in the world for her and his unwillingness to forgive her breaks Mia’s heart. But, she is committed to finding Theo so she can give Case peace. One very interesting plane ride later (these heroes and heroines certainly know how to keep cool heads in crazy and mind boggling situations) and the search for Theo takes them to another country where plenty of action takes place. Action both in and out of the bedroom. In pure Lexi Blake fashion, the sex scenes are mind blowing and erotic and I love the chemistry and passion that burns between Case and Mia. I love that Mia is a totally kickass in her own right and the way she verbally spars with Case is both sweet and hilarious. She keeps him on his toes and brings out the loving dominant in him. Truly, Lexi Blake is a master at creating poignant and erotic love scenes that cause your heart to melt, your pulse to quicken, and your panties to burst into flames. The way Case loves Mia, and the way he woos her after another misunderstanding, blew my mind. It was so romantic and sweet. There is lots of suspense and some new characters that I am very interested in learning more about. This story kept me engaged from beginning to end and once again I was sucked into a story that completely and utterly wrecked me with its emotional punch. Normally by the 11th book in a series I would think it’s time to wrap it up but this is one series I hope never ends. It’s fresh and exciting and each book is different than the last. I’m on pins and needles for the next book and look forward to what creative genius Lexi Blake has instore for her readers.
