First book in the Atlantis series. I loved this story!! I’ve already started the second book in this series!! I loved the h/h!! They are such a good match for each other. The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars is because I thought the story slowed down a little too much in the middle. Other than that, I thought this book was just amazing; I love Ms. Showalter’s style of writing!! She packs her story with fun, adventure, sexy guys, and humor!

Again, not my usual cuppa, but it was still fun to read. Gena Showalter's book lack a certain depth, but make up for it in steam and good times.

This was Darius' story, he's a dragon guardian of Atlantis. Being brought into the Atlantean world again was great, it didn't speak of the "gods" as in who actually that cursed them. Darius is definately a hot warrior, he's also the alpha-uber male. And amazingly in real life these types tend to really irritate me, in fiction it's hot. Go Figure. He has tatoos, he's built like a brick house. The sex was good when they FINALLY got to it. But, it was lacking somewhere. I would have given it an add ...more

This book was okay. Your typical cookie-cutter romantic fantasy. Tormented hero falls for spunky heroine. She eases his pain, he can taste and see color again when with her, but cannot have her due to some vow or duty or the like. He and his warriors reside in a fortress and protect Atlantis. The book seems to be a set-up for a series. Nothing in this story sets it apart from the plethera of similar books being published, including this author's own.
