Lady Johanna is a widow and King John has decided she must marry again. Her foster brother, Nicholas, knows just the person for her to marry. Scottish Highlander Gabriel McBain. But Lady Johanna is more than just a pretty face and would gladly prove it but her new husband thinks her good for one thing only. Lots of great characters that make this a fun and delightful read. One of several books by Julie Garwood that I never get tired of rereading.
Roslyn Landor is amazing and she is at the top of my list of favorite narrators. Although she has limited voices they are all perfection and she does wonderful accents and her male voices a terrific. I love listening to her narrate but I find I do need to have time between listens so as not to mix up stories.
This is the first of JG's historical romances that I have read. I enjoyed the book and look forward to more. The story is interesting in that Johanna doesn't know her new bridegroom and while getting to know him and his clan she comes to love him and them very much. Ther are some fun moments and you will love their relationship and her spunk.

OMG!! johanna and gabriel what a pair. Their story was filled with tragic, enjoyment, passion, and love...who can go wrong with that.
