Loved it. Best in the series, hands down. It is an emotional read, but I think some of the reviews (on here and on other boards) are over doing it a bit when reviewing the first part. I think its scaring some fans away! Truth is it is an emotional, bitter-sweet tortured hero story with an HEA. It's a captivating, enthralling, and non-stop page turning read. It is also funny and heart warming with some surprising twists that will make dark-hunter fans cheer! I think JR Wards books are equal in th ...more

Well I finished the book last night. I am going through that book depression where I have finished a book that I waited so long for. This book was so worth the wait though.
What a simply amazing book. Like everyone else, if I could give it 10 stars I would. I am so impressed with the story of Acheron. I laughed, cried, fumed, ached and then cheered at the end.
After reading the first 2/3 of the book, I wanted/needed Ash's woman to be someone special. And Kenyon gave us Tori, who was all that and m ...more

This is easily one of the best books I've read yet this year. It made me cry, and I'm not a crier and have only cried while reading a book once or twice in all my years of reading. Kenyon pulls no punches, the first half of the book will leave you feeling emotionally eviscerated, reading what was done to Acheron is horrific, the pain that he suffers, both emotionally and physically. How terribly he's mistreated and abused. The first half of the book is just heart-breaking. Kenyon really makes hi

this book was like butter i brought it a while ago but was so overwhelmed by it's size that i left it there untill my kindle broke :P so i started it thursday and finished it last night, this book was like butter it melted i your mouth kept you interested and made you want more. Acheron's tale is a long/sad/romantic one i really just have no negative comments except maybe some of the earlier parts of the book portraying acheron's youth were just a bit too dramatic don't want to give anything awa

I, like all Kenyon fans, have been waiting for this one. The only reason I didn't have it the day it came out was because Kenyon was having a book signing in my old stomping grounds of Vegas and I asked my mom to get one signed for me. My mom is such a trooper.
Although Kenyon warns you in the beginning that it doesn't start like her other books her artistry is still there in abundance. It's a thicker book than she usually puts out and I thank her for it. This is a world that is wonderful to get ...more

This was definitely worth the wait. Ash's human life was so terrible, it was so good to see him open up to someone and get his own happy ending. I wasn't sure that anyone could be good enough for Ash but I think Tory was the perfect match for him. I am kind of sad to be done reading this!
