What Members Thought

I'm a Noraholic but I was a bit disappointed with the last NR books I read, the Key trilogy, so I didn't know what to expect from this book. As I've learned the hard way, high expectations can be deadly, so my wariness towards this new trilogy ended up working in its favor as I really enjoyed this first book in the series and I'm definitely going to read the next ones.

5+ stars - Horror/Paranormal Romance
This is one of my all-time favorite Nora Roberts series/trilogies. It's like Nora decided to write a creepy Stephen King horror story with romance, and it works.

I enjoyed this book as I have most of Nora Roberts' books. However, I felt the ending was sort or rushed, I got to the last page and it felt like I had finished the book 3/4 of the way through. Also, a pet peeve, was what was up with all the mention of diet?? I thought at first it was going to be relevant to the story because it was mentioned so often, but it never was. Didn't enjoy that aspect of it. Once again, though there was great heroes/heroines. I look forward to the next in the series

I didn't like Roberts' Circle Trilogy at all, so I wasn't sure what I'd find when I started Blood Brothers. But it seems Roberts has returned to form, which is a relief.
Three men and three women have to link up to defend the town of Hawkins Hollow from being haunted to death. The plot is based on the big trend of the moment - the supernatural - but grounded in a setting that feels very real to anyone who's lived in a small town. An ok start to a new series. I was into it a bit in the beginning but slowed down near the middle and got a bit better at the end. I'm hoping for the next books in the series to pick up a bit. Although, I am taking a break from them for now. The story was interesting but doesn't have me jumping for the next one.
