 Danielle The Book Huntress
Kudos to Ms. Clare for taking two of the most hated professions, and giving us three-dimensional, lovable characters in these professions that question this reader's perceptions of people in these fields. Kara is a reporter, but she is one of the reporters that show the ethics and the dedication that the people in this field should represent, in a perfect world. She's a really sweet person, but is also strong and driven to do a good job. Kara faces the struggle that many American women face, rai ...more

Wow! What an awesome writer and a great romantic suspense! Pamela Clare creates some truely memorable characters and a larger than life hero in this, the first book in her I-Team series.

Kara McMillan is a young single mother, working as an investigative journalist for a Denver newspaper. She's working on a story that would expose a company that is dumping chemicals illegally and polluting the environment. This company has some powerful political allies, and they just may include some members of

6th Oct 2010 - Initial thoughts were:

4.5 Stars - I really enjoyed this! But....This book made me think of my work. For that reason alone, I'll have to minus half a star. LOL ^o^ Actually, to be more accurate, my line of work made me question parts of the legislative process portrayed in this book and now I feel like I need to do "homework" to find out how it works in Colorado. Dang! ^_^

I love Pamela Clare's contemporary books as much as I do her historicals. Although, really, this is my first contemporary of Pamela's but I still say it's true.

This was a very fast-paced story and very hard to put down. The suspense story line itself was great but the love story blew that all away. I loved Reece! Of course, he was the perfect man. He can cook, build things like cabins and beds, he treats Kara with utmost respect and devotion, takes care of her and protects her and loves her son.

Wow! I don't know why it took me so long to pick this up. I would give it more than the 5 stars if I could.

This was exactly what I like in a romantic suspense.... a perfect balance between the 'suspense' and the romance. I liked both Kara and Reese... and really loved the building of their relationship. There seemed very few contrived events to fit with what PC wanted the reader to understand. And the sex was hot!

Even though journalism wouldn't usually be something I like to read about, I found

When I first heard of the I-Team series, I thought this is a series with Navy Seals or Military guys. So, I was slightly puzzled when I finally read the blurb of the book, and learned that the main characters are a politician and a journalist.

Kara is a successful investigative reporter juggling being a single mom and a career woman. Reece is the dashing state senator who is interested in her. Kara battles her attraction for Reece, while working on explosive enviromental scandal. When her case b

Not bad. Very detailed when it came to the journalistic side and then some pretty wild sex thrown in. I will look for the next in the series.
