This is one of those books that has a plot that doesn't sound all that interesting on paper (view spoiler), but it somehow keeps your interest. Stackpole continues to be pretty good at character writing (his characters are generally very good, but their interactions are hit an Stars: 3.5

This is one of those books that has a plot that doesn't sound all that interesting on paper (view spoiler), but it somehow keeps your interest. Stackpole continues to be pretty good at character writing (his characters are generally very good, but their interactions are hit and miss) and good at dogfights, although I find his dialogue cheesy when he is trying to be inspirational.
