What Members Thought

The first thought that popped in to my mind after I finished this book was "EPIC". It has been a while since I have read a book that affected me so deeply to the point that I can't stop thinking about all the possibilities this story has to offer.
Although this book was epic to me I could still only give it 4 stars. You may wonder why.... and well I am going to explain that to you the only way I can. The first 200 pages were agonizing to read. I though they would never end and I even considered ...more

Stephenie Meyer is a talented author and makes words flow, usually I'm not a fan of 'slow' books but I enjoyed this one very much.
The plot in this novel is very unique, I've never read anything like this before, usually I'm not a science fiction fan, however when I started reading 'The Host' I found that it wasn't all science fiction and it takes place in the very near if not our current future and has a strong message that out human kind isn't that great (was it ever?) and asks how long can we ...more

This book was amazing, I didn't expect it to be as good as Twilight as I don't read much sci-fi, it was comletely different from my expectations. Stephenie Meyer is such a great author. Read a review on this when I was nearly finished and found out what happened at the end, but apart from that I loved it.

it was very confusing at first but then i kind of got the idea ,,,

This book was slightly different to the genre I usually read, nonetheless after I got over the weirdness of the plot I began to appreciate the concept and as the plot thickened it was impossible to put this down. Fantastic novel, I really hope Meyer gets around to writing the second!
