Too soon to review this book as it is brand new, so it will be a short one. However, this is a great ending to a really solid and great series and fans will be very happy with this one.

While I'm sad to see this series go, and I do hope that Bennett hopes to write some novellas for the Bell/Butler bunch, this ended the only way it could. A circle that was closed in a very poetic way for both mother and daughter.

It also made me hate Enola even more, and I didn't think it was possible. Howev 4.7

It also made me hate Enola even more, and I didn't think it was possible. However, Cady is the antithesis of her mother and that is what gave her the strength to live.

Now, here's a weird twist for all you fans out there; we get Jupe's POV! Yay! It was both cute, refreshing and honest just like the character himself. It's great to see a book that doesn't sideline the kid or make the kid a nuisance just to bring the characters together. Jupe was just as much as character as everyone else and this book finally gave us some insight into him.I did wish for more Jupe and Lon moments but with all the hubbub I suppose I'll just have to be happy with Letticia.

While I was frustrated by the manner in which Cady had to operate (view spoiler) only to find out that in the end, it didn't even matter, it was still interesting to see Cady look at the world and at Lon in a 'new' way (view spoiler).

The epilogue was exactly right and neither dragged on too long or gave too much exposition. Lon, Jupe and Cady are truly the pieces of each other that fit (view spoiler) and because of that are an amazing family to read about. I almost wish they were real so I could be invited for BBQ.

So. This series has been my favorite for awhile and I will miss you but hey, and all pun intended, thanks for the memories. ...more

LOVE these books so much! Such a great world with demons, magic, and a wonderful heroine. And though I'm sad that this is the last in the series, it's a brilliant, action-packed, emotional roller-coaster finale to Cady, Lon, and Jupe's stories! Shelved with the definite re-reads! ...more
