While I enjoyed "Blockade Billy" while I was reading it more than the "other" story -- "Morality" -- I think that Morality is the one that'll stick with me longer. What I liked best about Blockade Billy (even better than the suspense of what was happening) is the storyteller's voice. This was a very fast paced read. King really put himself and his love of baseball into this title. Blockade Billy was an interesting character and the story kept me guessing at what it was that was so special about him. I also enjoyed the narrative and perspective of how the games played out and the ending left me in awe. I love King' short stories!! Each one is so different!! There are 2 short stories in this book.

Who else can think of the of good thrilling story of baseball but Stephen King? Who?!! I never expected the story to end the way it did. I was shocked.

The second story is Morality. It made me think of the movie INDECENT PROPOSAL. This story is worse then the wife committing adultery for money. She has to hurt someone. Another good shocking story.

The story 'Blockade Billy' was enjoyable and I liked the interview method King used for it. A must read for all baseball & Stephen King fans...that being said the second story 'Morality' was just OK for me I did get one good laugh out of it but it felt that it fell short as a King short bringing down my overall ranking of the book. ...more
