A Review of Cat's Cradle By Kurt Vonnegut

Rating: Three Stars

Edition: Mass Market Paperback

Genre: Satire

Cat's Cradle is classic Kurt Vonnegut: a lot of satire in a very choppy presentation. I used to really like Vonnegut, but my tastes have changed quite a bit (previously, I had the book rated at Five Stars). I guess that I would take that into account when reading my review.

Basically what I got from this book...Don't try to find the "whys" in life because there aren't any. I disagree. The "whys"

I saw a list of books that should be read in high school, rather than the ones that are. This list said that Cat's Cradle should be read rather than Slaughter House Five. This is why I sought it out, and I couldn't agree more. While I liked Slaughter House Five, I am still slightly baffled at the ending. I loved the odd characters in Cat's Cradle. I really enjoyed this book. It has something for everyone. The characters are great and well-rounded. The style is fantastic. The plot leaves you wanting more all the way through.
