I really loved Americanah Ngozi Adichie's most recent novel, and that combined with her ubiquity on Tumblr as she continues to say really fantastic things about gender and race lead me to pick up The Thing Around Your Neck. And this is one of those times when it's not you, it's me really applys to a book.
