This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I liked it as much as I liked the others. It seems like there’s constantly something going on and there is plenty of action to keep you entertained if you like that kind of thing.
At first I felt like the book started out slow, but the ending; when Claire and everyone attended the ball was fast paced and really captured my attention. I wanted to know what was going to happen and I was very interested at that point.
I admit that I do like Claire. I honestly feel like she’s growing with each book I liked it as much as I liked the others. It seems like there’s constantly something going on and there is plenty of action to keep you entertained if you like that kind of thing.

I admit that I do like Claire. I honestly feel like she’s growing with each book and becoming stronger each time. She’s beginning to act more like a grown up and make her own choices more. She realises that there will be consequences for the things she does and she acts accordingly.
I’m still a massive Michael and Eve fan, but I liked Shane a bit more in this book. I like that it appears he’s finally getting used to the fact that Michael is a vampire and he doesn’t act out against his friend as much anymore. Which is nice....I prefer it when all 4 main characters are friends and not fighting with each other. Lord knows there’s enough conflict in Morganville without them being at each other too.

I will say that I do like Myrnin; more than I did at the beginning. There’s no denying that he’s an interesting character. There’s so much to him and with his illness that makes him act irrationally it’s hard to know just who the real “him” is. Is he one of the cruel, extremely evil vampires? Or is he one of the kinder ones? He treats Claire fairly well when he’s lucid, but is that just a show or is it actually real? I for one would like to know.
There were a couple of developments in this book. I thought it was good that Claire’s parents finally learned the truth about Morganville. It’s about time they realised that everything is not what it seems.
And Amerie. Oh, Amerie. I really don’t know what to think of her. One moment I like her, the next I’d love to stake her. I think it’s due to the fact that she changes so often. You never really know what you’re going to get from her. At the end of this book I actually liked her; she appeared to put the safely of everyone as a whole above her own and that of the vampires. But I do wonder.....how long will that last?
Also, Bishop’s blood is the cure...... Talk about intriguing. His blood has the ability to cure the disease that all the vampires will have. It’s going to be interesting to see how Amerie and the other vampires manage to use that to save themselves.....

Morganville, town that is run by vampires. Amelie is the head vamp, and her father has come to take it over and get a percious book that she posses. A bash is thrown is her father's honor (unwillingly) and every things goes a wry....find out who goes with who to the ball and what happens to the town. ...more

I love these books! They get better and better with each book and the storyline gets more intense with each page. Claire is still Amelie's special pet and she is still trying to help cure a disease she has no clue about.

Michael the newest vampire in town is still fighting to control his hunger and the disgust he feels with himself for becoming something he doesn't really like.

The main event in this book was the welcome feast for a very powerful vampire --- Mr. Bishop. He is scary! And the idea ...more
