What Members Thought
The tales of the Brothers Grimm, which they collected mostly from women, young women (Wilhelm married one) are, well, famous. They also went though much editing and revising. The tales got a little holier, more German, and, sometimes, more bloody.
This edition is pretty good; it is standard but affordable. The major tales are here and in the established order.

The illustrations by Walter Crane are just wonderful, and I found the translations by his wife Lucy Crane to be well-done (although, admittedly, since I've not read the stories in their original German, I'm basing this solely upon how well they read).
