3.5, but rounded up for sheer entertainment value, what with the rippery rapey sex, a disgustingly douchebag hero,** & laughable villainy from several sources—one of those “so bad it’s good” vintage romps. This was reminiscent of Pleasure’s Daughter in some ways, though I suspect the author was more influenced by Forever Amber, what with the opening scene & a heroine obsessed with an uncaring creep.
