What Members Thought
Meh. I don’t think this is a particularly bad book…it’s just not focused on a subject I enjoy. Stage/theatre/acting rarely hooks me** to begin with, & this vintage romance was fairly one-note in tone; there are a few scenes of mild WTFery, but the overall plot is dry & sedate while both MCs are rather wishy-washy. (Full disclosure: I skipped lengthy sections devoted to the heroine’s career, because zzzz.)
