Excellent book! Although Meyer keeps being marketed as a YA novelist, her work definitely has a broad appeal and reaches across generations. She is a master at characterization (and I don't use that word lightly), making you almost really believe her characters are real people.

A trademark Meyer writing. I recently saw the movie. I have read this book twice and both the times i felt the book to be moving slowly as i waited for some kind of plot development. I had almost given up the first time but i persevered and i feel glad for it. The ending of the book is one of a kind, It really brings out the best of human feelings which is truly the most complex and difficult to understand. I usually don't get into the whole posessed by and alien thing, but I loved this book. One womans struggle dealing with the being that is controling her. This is a very good book! Talk about a love triangle!!! : )

This book started out really slow and boring but about halfway through it got really good. I didn't really like the ending but it did make for an opportunity to make a sequel if she ever chooses too.
