Since just about everyone knows about Twilight I will just share my personal story about the book. In 2007 my grown son called me and told me that his 14 year old daughter had brought this book home to read and he decided to screen it. He had sat up all night and finished it - he was at the book store buying the next two books. I bought it that day and the next day was ordering the others from Amazon. Soon our whole family had read the three books, loved them and we discussed them all the time.

Despite the easy reader style of writting this is not a book I would read more than once. I can see why this series was such an instant hit with the young kids, it has an updated The Vampire Diaries feel to it, although unlike Vampire Diaries these novels transfer to the screen without any major HORRIFIC changes to the story line!

I decided to reread the Twilight series in quarantine. It still holds up! Just as fun the second time around.

As a graduate student with almost no social life, much less time for myself, I find this series a nice escape from my dreary, monotonous, stressful life.

I saw the movie first and that prompted me to read the whole series...it has me questioning can a love that deep happen in "real life"...forever the romantic!
