The book was recommended to me by Eric Zencey. He is a good friend, and teacher who taught me at the University of Delaware in the 70's. Eric is also one of the most informed people I know on sustainability and energy efficiency economics. Austin Troy, "The Very Hungry City" will be a very apt contribution to our understanding of the issues addressed by this group.
