What a fun weird tale! It was like a fairly tale but in real life. I really enjoyed it. Parts in the middle kind of dragged but it is a middle grade books so that happens sometimes when older readers read middle grade IMO. I listened to this one on audiobook and really liked the narrator (his female voices were funny since he has such a deep voice but I went with it!) Thanks for the rec Jenny!

This is a book about about a boy, a girl, and a ghost.
And I loved it! Although a bit slow until half way through, it really grabbed me at that point and wouldn't let go! I listened to this book on audio and am pretty sure that the narrator was a big influence on how much I loved this book!
Trust me when I say that the identity of the ghost was the best surprise of all! Jeremy and Ginger were wonderful rich characters and I enjoyed their friendship throughout the book.

Loved it. This is a modern day fairy tale and by that I don't mean a cheesy, feel-good story suitable for a four-year-old where a handsome prince sweeps a beautiful girl off her feet and they live happily ever after. No, this is a dark, but not cynical or hopeless, tale told by the ghost of Jacob Grimm himself. The good guys are good, but flawed and funny in a human kind of way. The bad guy is very, very bad--I was afraid I was going to have nightmares. I hope it's not too much of a spoiler to s

This is my second Tom McNeal book and the experience was completely different yet incredibly enjoyable. It's a clever concept. Jacob Grimm can't move on. He's a ghost. He's just been hanging around, wondering when he will finish whatever he needs to finish. Until then, he hand out with Jeremy, a 15 year old boy who can hear him. He's an oddity yet not as unique as Ginger, a beautiful and eccentric girl that everybody loves. And she's taken to Jeremy. She likes the off beat.
