Man, it took me like a whole month to read this book. I don't know why.

Anyway ... I really liked this in the beginning, and I enjoyed the concept. The execution fell a little flat for me, though.

Some general thoughts:

- I felt it went on for way too long, and the plot really wandered all over the place sometimes, to the point where I found it difficult to follow.

Great cover, brilliant concept—what could possible go wrong?

Um. Pretty much everything.

First off, I found this book in the Young Adult section of my library. Upon reading the book, however, I soon realised that this would probably be suited to people much younger than I am. Sophie could not do anything without Agatha's help and then the next minute she is more powerful than all the teachers. Things like ...more

I started off really excited about reading this book. It was a lot of fun but then towards the middle it started to lag and seem like it was never going to end. I felt like there was a couple of times it could have ended and then I would see I had a lot more to read.

What’s it about?
It’s about two girls from the same town who get chosen to enter The School of Good and Evil. Sophie who has always wanted to be a p
