Okay, this was the kind of book that was so good it was, like, EVIL. The story totally sucks you in; it seemed weird to me at first, but once I got used to it, I couldn't put it down. It was written in a very interesting way – very simplistic, but the author says a lot in a few words, leaving lots of haunting images in the reader's mind. Todd is a great narrator and a lovable character. All the characters are pretty awesome, actually … I got so attached to them. >< Ahhhh just such an amazing boo ...more

At first I was not sure I would like this book as the strange writing style took some getting used to; however, once I got into it I really enjoyed it. The story is different from anything I have read and I can't wait to start on the sequel tonight. ...more

Well . . . wow. On the second day of reading this book, I was yelled at in math for reading the ENTIRE CLASS. I didn't stop, didn't even look up. I finished it within the next two classes (Sewing and P.E.). And I loveeed it! It's so original, and the characters are positvely amazing and well-developed. I loooved this book! ...more

I enjoyed this book from the start. It was well written and there are many memorable quotes that I wish I would have written down. Granted, the ending leaves you hanging, but I was kind of prepared for that.

Lots of questions I need answered and have to have faith that the author will address them before the series ends.

But it is certainly a promising beginning.
