Some suspension of disbelief needed, but enjoyable regardless. I liked her previous one better, but will recommend this one without reservations.

A book full of heart--lots of threads in the story, with orphaned protagonist Jack Baker and his new friend, Early Auden, finding family, heart and adventure in the Maine woods. There were too many coincidences when the story all wrapped up, yet somehow though it should have been a happy ending, it didn't feel like one. My review is as jumbled as I felt this book was. Sorry. ...more
