This book was heart-wrenching, but not overly sentimental. I read this in about a day, because the writing kept me so engaged I had to figure out the connections between the characters. I won't go into detail, because I would gush so much about this book and feel like it would need a spoiler alert. The writing is lovely and I believe the author gets what it means to be a teenager in the modern age. The book also speaks to the emotions that a teenager would have, whether in mourning, with family

Two teens slogging through the aftermath of sudden unexpected death. Ashlyn, existing in the beyond, witnesses Breckon's torturous decline into cutting and self-abuse as he blames himself for the death of beloved younger sister. Intriguing enough.
