This is not written by Judy Blundell, although the cover is similar to two of her teen books. I liked this book because it was an actual mystery without any paranormal action. The setting (New York City, 1942) and characters sparkle.

Despite a somewhat misleading title (murder as period slang for marvelous) and cover image that may attract a reader interested in a scarier title, this is a well done historical mystery filled with engaging, relatable personalities and a vivid 1940s setting.
