Really enjoyed it, KMM never fails to entertain me. What an imagination! Dani was a riot too, I loved her despite her only being 14 y/o. (It's not a YA book though, she's just a young character very much in an adult world.)
I had some strong issues about Dani's age and the romantic/sexual references made toward her, but the core story was solid good.

I was afraid I wouldn't like Dani because her voice in the previous books was just short of annoying. I loved her. It didn't take long for her to grow on me.
Love Christian. He made me laugh even if he is bat shit crazy.

I don’t even know where to start with this one. I went into this book liking Dani, intrigued by Ryodan and curious as to what Karen Marie Moning could do to continue this Fever world that’s so engaging. She ended up blowing me away and I couldn’t put it down. I wasn’t expecting to laugh so much, the world is still so interesting but the big star and heart of Iced is Dani. I went from like to love with this fourteen year old heroine and she is fan-fecking- ...more

I'm a big fan of KMM's Fever books, so I'm excited to read Iced, even though I had some misgivings about its heroine, Dani "Mega" O'Malley. Well, I should have trusted KMM's style. As usual, she has her own unique writing style: fluent, poetic, engrossing.
I'm happy that this book has many POV's, which I enjoyed better than the previous Fever books. Characters from the previous books are back, mainly Ryodan and Christian, and it's nice to listen to their thoughts. Dani is entertaining as a narrat ...more

I feel like a bad fan girl giving this book three stars but unfortunately it didn’t click for me the way her other books did. It felt like a transitional novel, which makes sense from a world-building standpoint but just failed to grip my attention on almost all levels. *sad face*
These 3 stars are based on the following:
1: Loyalty. The book was written by one of my favorite authors. I buy her books on publication day, inhale them, and shamelessly reread them.
2: Promising new characters. This ...more

Not as strong as the fever series, but very promising. Dani starts out as young and naive as Mac did, so I'm curious to see what happens as the series progresses. Large parts of this one felt like introductory filler, so I expect we'll see things take off more in the next one. That said, I still read it in about three days... so it's a page turner!

So many mixed reviews on this one... while I have so many questions, I still loved it! KMM has a way of making you doubt everything and as with the fever books there are so many different paths the story can take. I actually did like Dani which I wasn't sure of. She could be cocky and annoying at times but she is 14! I am not sure what to make of Ryoden and I can't say to much without giving away spoilers... I feel so bad for Christian. He is so fecking crazy and I adored him in the fever books.

This is how books about the Fae are supposed to be written. KMM does it again! fabulous read. So funny throughout and the batman references were hysterical. Dani is wise beyond her years, yet so naive at times, which was appropriate for a 14 year old. The other 2 males Christian and Ryodan are a little creepy but it works well. And i love the new character Dancer. Cant wait to see what special ability/power he has in the next book. awesome cliffhanger and i really do love Dani. She is a heroine
