This is one of the best books I've read in years. It is both parts a horror story, a weird, gothic fairy tale, and a really dark love story. The description is some of the best I've ever read, and I felt like I was walking around in the night with the unnamed narrator as he told me this surreal, depressing and somehow totally realistic story.

This is urban horror at its finest. Want to read first person fiction that will keep you reading until the midnight hours? Here is a nasty story that will do the trick. It's a fun, scary, intense story about a lonely teenager looking for escape from his bored, lifeless world. What's so cool about this story is the level of believability the author brings to the table. Somehow all the craziness is believable, which is rare in fiction nowadays.
