The illustrations in this coming of age story are gorgeous and for that I would give this one a 5 but the story falls a bit flat for me and the text I would give a 3. Overall, it just made me sad and I didn't come away with any sense of "ultimate hope". Several things seem to fizzle out without really being developed. It may be due to the format but I don't think so. I wanted a bit more from this one since I had heard so much about it. ...more
