This is a difficult review to write. During the summer I read OUT OF MY MIND by Sharon Draper. As I read OomM, I felt that there was a lot of reality in that book. I felt that there are Melodies of the world and the story did a good job of portraying that. However, in STUCK IN NEUTRAL, some of the "reality" for me didn't ring as true. Very good, and very disturbing. This book raises questions for which there are no answers, not even difficult ones. As a result, it's a very quick read, but not an easy one.
The question of "what if you were trapped inside your own body?" has been dealt with in many fictional works. This one, though, focuses on the effects that body has on the people around him.
