A very clever and imaginative urban fantasy, with a potentially wide audience, teens and up.
Sam (short for Samhain, at his mother's insistence) has no direction in life, no motivation, and can't figure out why. He has lived in Seattle since he was born, and works at a fast food joint. This really is one of the best books that I have read in a long time. What a great book to read as the last book of 2010. I couldn't help but laugh out loud with this book. Sam has dropped out of college and works at a local hamburger joint until one night a stranger threatens him and then he and his friends are attacked. Someone is trying to send a message and not a subtle one at that either. Sam learns that he is supposedly a necromancer and that he has one week to decide to be the local necro
