Loved it. Schmidt does a great job of linking the story to gorgeous art. I had no idea this book was a companion to Wednesday Wars until I finished it, though one of the character names early on did seem strangely familiar. Just as good as its companion.

I know all of my friends gave this 5 stars but the slow beginning (for me - it took me several chapters to connect with Doug) and the nearly miraculous transformations of so many of the characters by the end caused me to give it 4 stars. There was so much I loved in chpts 5 -9 but have to wonder about some of the stuff at the end. Still need to ponder this one.
