What Members Thought
I really loved the first half of the book, but the second half felt much weaker. The "connections"-style narrative began to get on my nerves, especially the parts that were low comedy or low-likelihood. That part especially felt out of place in a story that involved dramatic and serious events. Rather than lightening the mood, the comedy felt forced. So did the odd coincidences in certain parts.

Really enjoyed this. It was a bit sugary unrealistic how it all ties together, but as I think about it, that type of unbelievable coincidence story was how the book began, setting it up for this ending.
