What Members Thought

I love fantasy, but haven't gotten into much sci-fi; it's usually entirely too preoccupied with technology and not nearly interested enough in people. This book is the notable exception. There's technology, there's space travel and "home planets" and killer robots, but that's not why I've been rereading this book since I was twelve. Loved it even more the second time and followed the characters much better. The world building of Dune, the desert and its secrets, the Fremen, and the Bene Gesserit are the most fascinating pieces to me. I still dislike the abrupt ending but it felt slightly less jarring the second time around. I can't wait to see how this is adapted for the big screen later this month.
